Lots of measures on a Hobie Catamaran are somewhat of secret knowledge. On this page I'll give some I have found out.

Hobie 14

Sidebars

The sidebars on a Hobie 14 are exactly 70" long. They are the same profile as the Hobie 14 mast, rear crossbar and Hobie 16 side bars. If you need to replace them, look for Hobie 16 sidebars, cut them to length and add the plates for shrouds.

Hobie 16

Sidebars

The Hobie 16 sidebars are ~80¾".
